The new year has just begun, and it’s time to plan your schedule for the 2025 design and light events. The 2025 fair design calendar is packed as usual, starting with the biennial Euroluce 2025 in Milan, unquestionably the most important event for the lighting sector.
While our primary focus is on Europe due to proximity, we’ve also highlighted some notable events overseas. Beyond major international fairs, we’ve curated a selection of research-driven events featuring independent designers and groundbreaking ideas.
We’ve also compiled a list of the most exciting lights festivals. Here’s your guide to the must-see events of the year ahead.
Design Fairs in the First Quarter of 2025
The year begins with the iconic Maison&Objet in Paris Villepinte, from January 16 to 20, 2025. This renowned fair also influences central Paris showrooms, with a second edition set for September 4 to 8, 2025.
Klimahouse in Bolzano, from January 29 to February 1, 2025, turns the spotlight on sustainability and eco-friendly solutions.
Heading further north, the Stockholm Furniture Fair takes place from February 4 to 8, 2025, followed by the more technically focused Warsaw Light in Poland, running from March 12 to 14.
Salone del Mobile.Milano and Euroluce 2025
The 62nd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano is scheduled from April 8 to 13, 2025. While the detailed program is yet to be unveiled, the biennial Euroluce 2025 is confirmed. According to the organizers, the event will showcase light «not only as a technological and functional element but as an aesthetic dimension, an emotional force, and a key factor in creating comfort in our spaces».
As each year, the “Salone machine” will set the city on fire, with exhibitions, events, and showrooms set up for the Fuorisalone. Stay tuned for updates on the best spots to visit.
Design Fairs from Spring to Autumn 2025
In May, head to the USA for Light Fair Las Vegas, taking place from May 4 to 8, 2025, as part of the inaugural Las Vegas Interior Design Week. Remaining stateside, NYCxDesign unfolds from May 13 to 23, showcasing design across Manhattan and its surrounding boroughs.
Europe hosts a series of key events:
- Interzum Cologne (May 20–23, 2025)
- Clerkenwell Design Week in London (May 21–23, 2025)
- Design Miami/Basel in Switzerland (June 11–16, 2025)
- 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen (June 18–20, 2025), transforming the city’s stores, secret courtyards, and unusual venues into a design wonderland.
After the summer break, more major fairs return:
- Feria Habitat Valencia (dates to be confirmed)
- Dutch Design Week (October 18–26, 2025)
- The highly technical MADE Expo in Milan, at Rho Fiera, from November 19 to 22, 2025.
Independent Design Events in 2025
For professionals seeking fresh ideas and innovation, the 2025 calendar includes must-see independent design events. These fairs highlight self-production and promote designers focused on the intersection of furniture and art.
- NOMAD starts in St. Moritz from February 20 to 23, with its summer counterpart in Capri (dates to be announced).
- The Lake Como Design Festival (September, dates pending)
- EDIT Napoli (October)
During Milan’s Fuorisalone, don’t miss Alcova, held for the second consecutive year outside city limits in Varedo. Its other editions, such as the Miami version, remain to be confirmed.
The Most Captivating Lights Festivals of 2025
For light enthusiasts, urban light festivals are always a unique experience. They explore the artistic side of illumination, transforming cities into reimagined spaces through spectacular installations and video mapping.
- The Amsterdam Light Festival runs until January 25, 2025, focusing on the theme of rituals.
- In Finland, the Polar Night Light Festival in Ruuko starts from January 10 to February 3, 2025.
- The Copenhagen Light Festival follows, from January 31 to February 23, 2025.
Winter wouldn’t be complete without these iconic festivals:

- Llum BCN in Barcelona’s Poblenou district
